Welcome to Phase 2 of this project. I am not going to go over anything Phase 1 related, except maybe some wiring, as the LCD in Phase 1 is I2C and the LCD in Phase 2 is SPI. So even if you are not going to build the Phase 1 project, which I suggest you try, as the wiring is the same, the only two differences between Phase 1 and Phase 2, ignoring the software, is the actual physical LCD and the driver for the LCD.

What is Phase 2 of this project all about then? Well it's really just the lCD. The LCD in Phase 1 is a 0.96" OLED, but the text is very small and very hard to read, and the Phase 1 software is purely text based, no graphics at all. Phase 2 uses a 2.4" LCD, and while it is not an OLED, this particular display is fantastic, it has the viewing angle of an OLED and the backlight does not bleed through the LCD.

Phase 2 Improvements:

  * Larger LCD.
  * More Information.
  * Easier to read.
  * Contains Graphics as well as text.
  * Full Colour

To kick of Phase 2 of the Network Analyzer, we need to do three things.

  * 1. Wire up the new LCD and test.
  * 2. Copy the new WifiAnalyzer Code.
  * 3. Fit the project in to the 3D Printed enclosure.

If you have come straight to Phase 2, and have not started, completed, looked at Phase 1, there are a couple of things you need to do.

Connecting to your WiFi is important, if you have issues with your WiFi, sort them out now before starting your project. Finding your MAC address is useful, you can look for it in your router, and if you are using Mac Address Filtering,  you will need to add your Mac Address to your router WIFI settings.
