+Every now and then, the writers of our favourite software, be it OS, Desktop, Application do something so mind bogglingly numb, that we just cannot move on until we get it back to how it used to be, when things just worked. And boy did this happen in the Gnome Desktop Environment. Let me explain!

+Okay, so the red box top right of the window gives it away, yes, they removed the Minimize and Maximize buttons, why? I have no idea, now I have to find the app I was using everytime because I can only close it, not minimize it.

+What can we do about this I hear you say, well there is a customisation application for Gnome that lets you make all sorts of customisations that the Gnome team won't implement, or have removed called 'Gnome Tweaks'

+==== Gnome Tweaks Installation ====
+You can install Gnome Tweaks via a package manager or from a Terminal.

+=== Package Manager ====
+On Alma Linux 9 the Package Manager is called 'Software'

+Once the software application is open, you can click the top left icon (magnifying glass)

+Type in the search bar 'Gnome' and you will see a list of applications, one of which (should) be Gnome Tweaks.

+Click this icon to install the software.

+=== Install from Terminal ===
+Installation from the terminal is very simple, although you might need to have root access. Open the Terminal Window in Linux.

+From the command line, enter the following:

+    sudo dnf install gnome-tweaks -y

+The Gnome Tweasks shoud now be installed.

+==== Usage ====
+To find Gnome Tools you have to again click the Activities button (1).

+Now click the 'All Software' (2), then click the 'Utilities' (3) group.

+The Utilities group will open.
+\\
+\\

+Run the software called 'Tweaks' (yeah, don't know why it's not called Gnome Tweaks here).

+Once Tweaks has opened, on the left hand side click the item 'Window Titlebars'

+Under the section 'Titlebar buttons' enable 'Maximise and Minimise' the change to the windows will be instant and you will have your window controls back (yay).
